Their game was mean, cruel, devious, sneaky, brilliant. Sebastian Valmont is a seductor. He can have anyone he wants, except the one he really wants, his stepsister Kathryn. She proposes a bet:if he can seduce the innocent Annette Hargrove, the new headmaster's daughter, Kathryn will "give him the one thing he's been obssesing about ever since their parents got married". If Sebastian loses, he must give Kathryn his 1956 Jaguar Roadster. Cruel Intentions is full of backstabbing, mind games, sex, and youth.
Kathryn Merteuil
She is a evil, backstabbing, selfish, spoiled brat. She befriends her enemies and she betrays them when she gets bored, or when it's convenient for her. Kathryn is the manipulative teenage stepsister of Sebastian.
Sebastian Valmont
Sebastian has pretty much 'had' all of the girls in New York City up to this point, and he's gotten a bit bored of it all. When challenged by his stepsister Kathryn to deflower the new headmaster's daughter Annette, he accepts thinking it would be " his greatest conquest".
